DOLBY ATMOS & IMMERSIVE AUDIO WORKSHOPS

‘Mixing and Delivery’ Workshops @ Blank Studios

With support from Arts Council England, Blank Studios are excited to announce a series of free-to-attend workshops focusing on the application and delivery of Atmos and immersive audio for commercial music.

A newly installed Neumann 7.1.4 surround speaker system (the first of its kind in the North East) will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to explore this emerging format, and better understand how it can feature in their own work.

Everyone working in music, at all levels, is encouraged to come.

Eight workshops will run on Monday evenings, 6pm til 10pm

Session Outline

In the workshop we will look at the ideas behind the system, and the current industry applications. We will listen to existing releases through the system and reference them against their stereo counterparts.

We will then work on commercially released music, going back to the multitrack sessions, to create a new mix reimagining the music within the immersive audio format.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring in any stems/multitracks of audio they have and would like to hear applied to an immersive audio system.
